Here at Clipper Logistics, we're currently on the search for a
Finance Manager on a full-time, permanent basis to join our office team in
Milton Keynes - MK10 0BB


Clipper Logistics is now part of GXO, the world's largest pure-play contract logistics provider and one of the leading retail fulfilment businesses in the UK.


The Finance Manager will provide, analyse and interpret accurate and timely financial and operational management information to internal and customer timelines, recommending areas of focus as appropriate.

Whilst maintaining a strong financial control environment tensure accuracy and integrity of information. Also supporting ad hoc information requests & project initiatives and managing a team.


Pay, benefits and more:

We're looking to offer a salary of up to
£50,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 33 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) as well as the option to buy additional days.

Key Accountabilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Ensure that all contract management reporting is produced in a timely & accurate manner to both internal & customer agreed formats and deadlines
  • Compilation of periodic budgets and forecasts involving working with customer & operational teams to establish and confirm inputs and assumptions
  • Active contribution to customer relationship through weekly and ad hoc review meetings
  • Completion of month end close process including all task involved such as review of general ledger, calculating and posting accruals and prepayments, explanation of variances to both budget and weekly estimates and associated invoicing
  • Supporting the operational team with financial analysis to improve profitability of the site
  • Any other ad hoc tasks and project work relevant to the role as required

Experience required for the role:


  • CIMA/ACCA Qualified (preferred)
  • Team management
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Advanced excel skills including the ability to use formulas to a good standard
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Selfmotivated and works under own initiative
  • Logistics experience 3PL is desirable
