Description

Do you have a strong sense of empathy and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with Autism and ADHD? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Autism and ADHD Support Specialist to join our team in Wakefield.

Responsibilities:

Create personalized support plans for individuals with Autism and ADHD, focusing on their unique needs and aspirations.
Provide individualized guidance and assistance to clients in various settings, including their homes, schools, and the community.
Conduct assessments and observations to identify strengths and challenges and utilize this information to develop tailored intervention strategies.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to support.
Facilitate group activities and therapy sessions to foster social skills development and peer connections.
Regularly monitor client progress and maintain detailed records to track improvements and adapt support plans as needed.
Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in Autism and ADHD interventions to deliver evidencebased services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
Previous experience working with individuals with Autism and/or ADHD is desirable.
Familiarity with behavioural strategies, sensory processing, and communication techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with Autism and ADHD.
