Do you have a strong sense of empathy and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with Autism and ADHD? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Autism and ADHD Support Specialist to join our team in Wakefield.


Responsibilities:


  • Create personalized support plans for individuals with Autism and ADHD, focusing on their unique needs and aspirations.
  • Provide individualized guidance and assistance to clients in various settings, including their homes, schools, and the community.
  • Conduct assessments and observations to identify strengths and challenges and utilize this information to develop tailored intervention strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to support.
  • Facilitate group activities and therapy sessions to foster social skills development and peer connections.
  • Regularly monitor client progress and maintain detailed records to track improvements and adapt support plans as needed.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in Autism and ADHD interventions to deliver evidencebased services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Autism and/or ADHD is desirable.
  • Familiarity with behavioural strategies, sensory processing, and communication techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with Autism and ADHD.
