Counted recruitment are currently recruiting a
Finance Business Partner for a great
technology business based in
Birmingham. The role will be looking into the operational side of the business and will mainly focus on business partnering.

The role is flexible, with 3 days in the office and 2 days out.

Main duties of this
Finance Business Partner role include:

  • Accurately produce Revenue and Capital monthly management accounts, quarterly and rolling forecasting, advising of variances against budget.
  • Support Budget Holders and development managers in monitoring monthly income, revenue costs and capital expenditure against budget and forecasts whilst highlighting concerns/opportunity and developing this.
  • Prepare commentary on monthly and quarterly management accounts for the Board.
  • Working alongside Budget Holders and Project Management Office to prepare Budgets and forecasting with analytical review
  • Identify opportunities and risks and communicate this clearly with line manager and finance team management
  • Maintain the morale of the management accounts team, including collaborating with peers on development
  • Increase profitability and continue improvements by challenging and analysing current processes
  • Responsible for transferring completed projects to the fixed asset register ensuring this is closed in a timely fashion and maintaining the fixed asset register including reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Support managers through the provision of financial input to strategic planning, assessing capital investment projects for capital expenditure and help evaluate new contracts when required.
  • Maintain and update various key financial models.
  • Assist in the production of statutory accounts ensuring sign off within company timelines
  • Produce information for auditors, banks, shareholders and other externals.
  • Carry out additional duties if required.

A large, national business with flexible hybrid working alongside a great team. The business is constantly growing and has some huge projects coming up.

The business is a large organisation with a large finance team and high turnover.

The team have been together a long time, with the FD, FC and Head of finance all having 5+ years tenure.

The team is well settled and you will be given lots of support.
