Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working exclusively with an Investment business in Leeds who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller.

This is a newly created role reporting into the Finance Director and our client is looking for an ambitious qualified Accountant who is looking for the next step in their career.

The company currently works with an extensive portfolio of clients within a rapidly growing market and the successful individual needs to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
Budgeting and forecasting
Balance sheet reviews
Monitoring cash flows
Overseeing new contracts and involvement in tender processes
KPI reporting
Overseeing transactional finance
Financial planning and analysis
Reviewing financial policies and procedures
Preparing VAT returns
Developing relationships with external contacts
Day to day management of a small finance team
Supporting ad hoc projects


Requirements:

Qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/CIMA/ACCA
Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
Confident communicator across all levels with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders
Strong IT skills
