Deli Asisstant
20-24hrs per week

Shifts 5:30am til 2pm & 8am - 2pm 3-4 shifts per week inc Weekends


JOB PURPOSE

  • To provide a polite, effective and efficient service for customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the bake off is adequately stocked in accordance with company policy
  • Moving stock from freezers and checking stock required.
  • Assisting colleagues in checking off deliveries to delivery notes
  • Serve customers in a sensitive, polite and considerate manner.
  • Following detailed instructions to bakeoff and heat up products
  • Maintaining excellent standards of Food Hygiene
  • Cleaning equipment used in food preparation
  • Pricing products
  • Serving customers at the hot food counter
  • First point of contact for enquiries/complaints from customers, resolving issues
where possible and passing to a manager or supervisor where appropriate.

  • Ensure the Food to Go area is maintained in a clean and tidy manner:
  • Cleaning up rubbish.
  • Ensuring items are in the right place.
  • Clearing up spillages, maintaining a consciousness both of Food Safety and
Health and Safety implications.

  • Any other duties commensurate with the job.
