Job Summary
An opportunity has become available within our team at Baslow Health Centre.

We would like to welcome into our team a _
Reception Team Lead_ to oversee the day - to - day operations within our reception area.

We are an approachable friendly team who pride ourselves on a positive working environment.

In addition to this, to undertake administrative duties/tasks alongside the practice manager.


Responsibilities:

To oversee day-to-day running's of the reception/admin area, this includes distributing and delegating workload.


To take an active role within the daily duties expected of the reception team, ensuring that the reception lead can also aid with reception workload as required.

To organise sickness absence cover and oversee the reception rotas to ensure there is adequate cover.


To ensure they represent the highest standards of confidentiality and have a full understanding of GDPR & Data Protection act 1998.

Using this knowledge to ensure the reception team are adhering to these guidelines.


To consult with the Practice Manager to ensure reception protocols & policies are up to date and embedded within the team.


Reception lead may also be requested to perform duties that would support the clinical team or practice manager, this would be clarified as falling within the reception lead role.


Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience of 'SystmOne' this is an essential requirement.
  • Previous administrative work within a GP practice (Desired)
  • Knowledge of Primary care sector.
  • IT skills working with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent Face-ToFace communication
  • Team Player (Essential)
  • Ability to navigate demanding situations in a professional manner.

HEALTH & SAFETY
The post holder will assist in promoting health and safety within the working environment.


The post holder can identify the risks involved in work activities in a way that manages those risks, ensuring to consult with the management team to mitigate any risks within the reception area or applicable throughout the practice.


Ensuring the relevant Health & Safety training is up to date and embedded within the team to make sure the team fully understand how to identify any risk.


Leading example on infection control protocols and procedures, ensuring all reception staff are up to date with their E - Learning, also using the protocols and procedures on a day-to-day basis.

Part-time hours: 25-27 per week

£12.00 per hour
