About the Role

  • To provide 1:1 support for a Post16 pupil with a visual impairment and special educational needs.
  • To enable him to access the school curriculum and engage in all aspects of school life, in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • To work under the direct supervision of a teacher to carry out planned learning activities to meet specific needs and support the physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of pupils.

  • Relate well to children and adults
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Provide appropriate role models of behaviour both in the classroom and around
