Senior Lead - Employee Relations Advisor, EMEA | People | London (12 month FTC)

THE ROLE


In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and actioning day-to-day people-related issues requested by your manager and other regular internal stakeholders.

Those issues include, but are not limited to, performance management, onboarding/offboarding, leaves of absence, works council matters, compensation matters, organisational design, employee complaints, and implementing updates to company policies or applicable legal requirements.

In addition to your manager, your internal stakeholders will include business managers in various verticals within the People Team (e.g., People Operations, Employee Relations, Compensation, Talent Acquisition), the Payroll Team, and the Employment Legal Team.


RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):


  • Serve as the first point of contact for People Partner and internal stakeholders, ensuring outstanding customer focus by delivering ER support for employee related issues including, but not limited to, performance management, probation concerns, employee complaints, flexible working requests, sickness and Occupational Health matters, absence and attendance issues.
  • Educate, coach and guide managers and employees on ER matters while guaranteeing adherence with company policy and local laws, regulations and best practice.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Review of current policies and procedures against current legislation across EMEA, assist with updating existing policies and development of policies and procedures as well as ER strategies and guidelines with support of your manager.
  • Ensure that stakeholders are kept up to date with key changes to policies and procedures and maintain relevant policy and procedures database.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with key partners to include People Partners, Legal Counsel, People Managers, HR Operations and the Global ER team.
  • Ensure that HR systems and Salesforce are kept current and up to date.
  • Provide periodic MI and reporting Senior Management, to enable strategic decision making and inform ER process and program improvements.
  • Support People Partners and People Operations on policy interpretation or complex queries.
  • Communicate proactively with your manager to plan solutions and action accordingly.
  • Support with coordination of and preparation for meetings, agenda items and follow up action items for Works Council meetings in relevant countries.

QUALITIES NEEDED

  • Knowledge of and familiarity with EMEA employment laws (with a particular focus on UK, France and Germany).
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, dynamic and vibrant environment.
  • Strong people focus with a passion for supporting employees' growth and success.
  • Demonstrable ability to roll out globally led People initiatives.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and establish trust with the employees you support.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Highquality document and report preparation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

YOU BRING

  • 3+ years HR Partnering experience, preferably within a fastgrowing organisation, or equivalent specialist Employee Relations experience and exposure.
  • Strong collaboration, problem solving skills, critical thinking, to implement and drive processes.
  • Resultsdriven, usercentric, innovative, and comfortable in a matrixed environment.
  • French HR experience and language skills a bonus.
