Safety, Health & Environment Advisor.

**As a
Safety, Health & Environment Advisor you will**: - Provide technical expertise on Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) issues, ensuring compliance on site safety matters

  • Conduct regular compliance inspections and track findings through to closure, providing feedback to employees
  • Responsibility and experience in the control of major accident hazards in compliance to COMAH Regulations including further development of sites controls as the business accelerates
  • Provide technical advice on site safety, health and environmental matters ensuring site compliance
  • Investigation and execution of Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) incidents driving corrective actions through to closure
  • Creation and delivery of SHE inductions and training to further increase employee awareness
  • Further develop the site's environmental management system ensuring ISO 14001 standards are met
  • Support and implementation of the site's emergency response plan alongside SHE and Facilities Manager
  • Provide training on risk assessments and support Managers through the Management of Change (MOC) process
  • Undertake and lead accident investigations in a timely manner, conduct 5Y analysis and tracking of corrective through to closure
  • Support and management of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits, ensuring management system is maintained
  • Conduct regular site compliance inspections and ensure recommendations are implemented
  • Conduct emergency response drills for emergencies (fire/spill) and drive closure of corrective actions as required
  • Support Facilities team with all onsite projects and review contractor permits and RAMs sign off

What you'll need:


  • COMAH experience essential
  • Experience of H&S and Process Safety (DSEAR/ATEX/Risk Assessments)
  • NEBOSH Certificate/diploma or equivalent related degree (Chemical Engineering)
  • IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management desirable
  • The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Selfmotivation and the ability to selfsupervise are essential
  • Demonstrate an indepth knowledge of Safety Health and Environmental legislation
  • Strong IT and data analysis skills
  • Strong organisational skills with a willingness to learn and develop in a fastpaced demanding environment
