Description
Responsibilities:
- Diary management and overseeing day to day management of the practice.
- Appointment and surgery / procedural bookings
- Transcription and audio typing may be required.
- ensuring efficient responses between consultant and secretary / practice manager
- Chasing reports from hospitals
- management of hospital calendar booking systems.
- obtaining quotes for self funding patients
- arranging clinic and theatre time as needed.
- filing of reports, referrals and surgery notes/images to patient management system.
- promoting a paperless service, posting only when required, and working within carebit system.
Skills:
- Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in excel, word and general computer skills. knowledge of carebit would be an advantage
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and multitask.
- Experience in healthcare office administration and clerical duties with knowledge of data protection (GDPR compliance) and confidentiality protocols.
- Professional phone etiquette and good communication skills both written and verbal.

As a Private assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the consultant to manage his case load and ensuring accurate and timely reviews and treatment as well as day to day diary management and review of external documents.
Previous knowledge of private (or NHS) healthcare is preferred. There may be a requirement to type transcribed letters so good IT skills are required.
To excel in this role, you should have strong data entry skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in healthcare office administration.
