We're recruiting for a new Tool Hire Assistant to join us in Jewson Sittingbourne (ME10 3HX)
Jewson provide a comprehensive and reliable Tool Hire offer to our customers.

As a
Tool Hire Assistant, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and tool hire department running smoothly.

This role has a strong focus on customer service, delivery and collection of hire equipment and general tool maintenance in the workshop.

We're a busy and well established branch in a great location between Maidstone and Canterbury. We have a friendly team who pride themselves on offering a great service and excellent product knowledge. We have a sales office, warehouse, shop & counter, timber supply and customer delivery vehicles. If you love working with people, you're a good listener and you think you could help our customers feel welcome, then this could be a great opportunity for you to join our team

Hours of work: 7:00am-17:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday

Is this role right for me?

Experience within our industry is not essential, we are committed to providing you with the full tools and support required to carry out your role within Jewson.

Some specific skills and experience we are looking for:

A keen interest in DIY or experience working with various tools
Customer Service experience
Experience repairing and maintaining tools in branch
A full, clean driving license is essential for this role

What will I be doing?

A
Tool Hire Assistant will be in regular contact with our customers and therefore play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience.

In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will;

Understand customer needs and provide proactive advice and solutions
Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop
Use our inhouse systems to process customer orders
Organise and carry out tool hire delivery and collection keeping customers updated
Attach trailers and tow equipment to sites (trailer training will be provided)
Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work
Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
