This role is accountable for the high performance of the skill group and should ensure sufficient resources are available to support the team.
While day-to-day activity should be planned by the Engineering Product Owner the Electronics Team Lead is accountable for the long-term development of the function.
The Electronics Team Lead will undertake both team management and hands on engineering within the project teamsThis will include:
- Delivering comprehensive and innovative technical solutions to meet cost, specification and quality targets.
- Ensuring that all team members have the correct level of skills, knowledge, and behavioral competence.
- Ensuring technical feasibility is available to the project team and the skill group is suitably positioned to deliver this.
- Actively involved with technical reviews.
- Perform risk management to minimise project risks though development of a high performing skill group.
- Ensure the skill group will create and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Respond appropriately to customers' demands.
