Responsibilities:


  • Centralized Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders, suppliers, and partners, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration throughout the logistics process.
  • Customs Declarations: Provide accurate data for customs declarations and meticulously check import and export declarations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and process import and export customs declarations, ensuring all necessary documentation such as customs invoices and certificates of origin are compiled and processed efficiently.
  • Logistics Coordination: Correspond with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to ensure seamless customs clearance and timely delivery of goods to their final destination.
  • Audit Support: Assist the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function with internal and external audit requirements, maintaining accurate customs data and records.
  • Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work independently and collaboratively within a small team environment to swiftly resolve any logístical challenges that may arise.
  • Customer Value Delivery: Collaborate closely with team members to deliver excellent value and service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met at every step of the process.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Education & Experience: Strong maths and english ability, but no formal qualifications are required.
  • Organizational Skills: Managing multiple shipments, documentation, and deadlines requires strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable Experience:

  • Freight Forwarding Expertise: Previous experience within a freight forwarding environment is highly desirable, demonstrating your understanding of global logistics operations.
  • UK

Customs Knowledge:
Existing knowledge of UK customs regulations and procedures will be advantageous in navigating complex international trade requirements.

  • System Proficiency: Experience using SAP or similar systems, as well as webbased purchasing and logistics portals, is preferred to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
