We are looking for an enthusiastic, versatile, and positive team player able to join our Business and Operations Team in the role of Contracts Officer for the Trust.


Your opportunity


Reporting to the Business & Operations Lead, and working alongside our Trust and School teams, you will lead on the mobilisation and ongoing management of specified catering contracts across the Trust.

You will collaborate and get guidance from the Trust Procurement Manager contributing to the outsourcing and management of new Trust-wide contracts.


This is a permanent contract, and during the first 12 months, your primary focus will be on the management of the Trust's external catering contracts.

Your responsibilities will include management of other Trust-wide contracts and managing the Trust contracts register.

This will be a hybrid post, with opportunities to work from home and at one of our base offices in Banstead, Camberley, Crawley, and Banbury.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A track record of managing service contracts. Experience within the education sector is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, developing relationships with contract providers, leading contract review meetings and liaison with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and project management skills, managing quality assurance in a service contract context, including setting, monitoring, and achievement of KPIs.
  • A willingness to further develop contract management knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with accuracy, unsupervised and on own initiative.

The role will include:

  • Providing oversight and guidance to support effective management of contracts.
  • Responsibility for the management of key contracts.
  • Managing the Trust Contracts Register.
  • Providing guidance and support to colleagues to ensure compliance with Trust procedures and legislative requirements, ensuring value for money.

The Details

Salary:

Full-time equivalent salary £33,000-£35,000 (please note that the pro-rata annual salary will depend upon agreed hours and working pattern).


Hours of work: 25 hours per week


Working pattern:
Ideally all-year around, however term-time working (39 weeks) + 3 weeks (with 2 over the summer holidays) will be considered
