Reporting to the Oncology Project Lead - the Oncology Specialist is responsible for developing strategic relationships with customers, based on a deep scientific understanding of the issues in order to identify the best opportunities to deliver optimum skin care to improve oncology patients' quality of life.


As an oncology specialist for the UK, you will own the HCP relationships in secondary care oncology & dermo-oncology units in order to educate on La Roche-Posay products to maximise recommendations by secondary care customers.

You will work closely with clinicians, MDT teams and payors across the region to identify patients and support patient pathways.


You will identify, network, sample and detail all Onco-dermatology & Oncology stakeholders & seek out new business opportunities in order to achieve sales, market share & profit targets.

You will

  • Build, and execute Territory Action Plan which clearly outlines the activities to be undertaken at a local and national level.
  • Develop advocates and foster the growth of La Roche-Posay products in key departments with KOL's attend national congresses as appropriate.
  • Provide key account/hospital network support, market access support, including referral networks
  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge, especially key clinical papers and customer and competitor knowledge, participating in training programmes as appropriate
  • Demonstrate clear and thorough understanding of disease states, build and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians in private practice, medical group practices and/ or hospitals, office staffs and others in the patient care continuum
  • Maintain accurate customer records provide feedback on marketing materials / campaign
  • Ensure all administration tasks are completed in a timely manner and targets are met in line with minimum standards

  • Manage the territory AV meetings and sponsorship budgets on an ongoing basis to ensure budget compliance
  • Provide customer service to various oncology organizations, teaching institutions, physicians, Oncology Nurses, and administrative staff
  • Be aware of the local industry standards of practice and the L'Oréal ethics charter ensuring that all standards are met
  • Attend sales conferences and other events which may involve overnight stays
You have

  • Experience in medical sales with proven track record in driving success secondary care experience is essential and key account management experience is desirable
  • Educated to at least a degree level (or equivalent) preferably with a science background.
  • Sound understanding of the healthcare environment and the commercial implications for Pharma / dermocosmetic companies an advantage
