Description

Sense is recruiting for an exciting new role as Head of Data Management to join the Data and Technology team.

We have recognised the power of data and want to ensure we work to get the most from the data we have in siloed systems.

This role will work to develop the Sense data architecture and work with teams across the organisation to define and drive adoption of common data standards for core data attributes.

This is an exciting time for data at Sense.
This is a hybrid role working from either London or Birmingham offices, and with the ability to travel between the London and Birmingham offices as required


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project teams to design and implement data pipelines and provide support for data cleansing and migration activities.
Drive the adoption of data standards across the organisation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, relevance, timeliness, security, and availability.
Foster a culture of trust in data, encouraging data-driven decision-making and ensuring data integrity.
Develop the Sense approach to data visualisation and provide guidance to teams on effective data utilisation.
Understand the data landscape in Digital Social Care and Charity sectors, advocating for sector-led data standards where desirable.
Promote accessibility of data for all stakeholders, including the people we support.
Implementing and developing a central team to own the data architecture and data standards and build a data ecosystem


Skill, Knowledge, and Experience:
Extensive experience working with a wide range of data management tools and technologies.
Proven track record of working across complex organisations, supporting teams and fostering collaboration.
Strong experience in creating detailed data standards for core datasets and successfully implementing them across an organisation.
Expertise in designing data architectures and pipelines across corporate and operational systems.
Proficiency in designing and implementing interfaces between systems using APIs and other data interface mechanisms.
Experience supporting senior management teams with performance data utilisation and the creation of data-driven dashboards.
Experience working with Microsoft data platforms and tools, such as Power BI, Data Fabric, and Azure Data Lake.
Data modelling and design (SFIA DTAN Level 5).
Database design (SFIA DBDS Level 4).
