Our Rugby site are now recruiting for a Health & Safety Coordinator on a full time basis.
Salary:
£23,500 Per annum
Working hours:
Monday-Friday (9am-5pm)
Job Description:
The purpose of a
Health & Safety Coordinator is to contribute to the growing success by maintaining and developing the Health and Safety on the site.
Co-ordinating site SHE systems to ensure legal compliance and actively promote a positive environmental and safety culture focusing on continuous improvement.
Key Duties of a Health & Safety Coordinator:
- Understanding and maintaining all aspects of a Health and Safety Management System.
- Implementing improvement actions raised in connection with incidents and accidents.
- Ensuring a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process is established, implemented and reviewed aligned with group policy.
- Ensuring any site audit process involving Health and Safety is maintained and followed by all parties conducted accordingly with group policy.
- Monthly Safety meeting administration including: Meeting preparation, action taking and distribution.
- Generating and communicating Health and Safety reports as required.
- Ensuring all necessary legislative and safety licences are maintained.
- Ensuring plant and/or machinery are safe to use and legally compliant.
- Developing and maintaining the affectivity and integrity of SOWISOP with any associated controlled documentation and record keeping.
- Driving communication of safety within the site via monthly briefings, events reports, safety conversations and toolbox talks.
- Responsible for ensuring the food Safety & Quality Assurance procedures are complied with when performing inspections.
- Ensuring that the Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) and other associated risk assessments are routinely reviewed and updated where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation, good working practices, Regulatory inspections/servicing compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 197
- Able to demonstrate sound experience of ensuring a secure and safe site.
- Previous project management experience.
- PC literate with a sound working knowledge of MS Office.
- A personable and professional management style: you will need to liaise and manage our customers functional representatives (Health & Safety, Fire, & Security).
- Good time management skills with the ability and desire to solve problems.
- Have a flexible approach to work and working hours.
- Selfmotivated with a keen desire to participate as a proactive member of the team.
- ISOH qualified, NEBOSH preferable.
