Overview
Trigon Recruitment are recruiting for a reputable national training provider for a Health & Wellbeing Advisor.

As an Health & Wellbeing Advisor you will support Participants to gain a better understanding of their impairment and/or health condition and how this may impact their employment and career goals.

It supports them to improve their health and wellbeing and address barriers to work and progression.


Requirements of the role

  • To conduct effective assessment of referred learners, identifying accurate starting points, and designing appropriate action plans
  • Delivering group training on a specific health / wellbeing area e.g., Anger Management
  • Delivering 1:1 Brief advice sessions e.g., alcohol reduction (with a view to signposting the participant to a more indepth community programme / support service)
  • Delivering other 1:1 sessions to address a specific health / wellbeing barrier
  • Supporting the Operations/Business Manager to develop relationships and referral pathways with local health and specialist providers
  • Providing feedback to Employment Advisors (and participants) following engagement in provision (e.g., through Orion updates and, where appropriate, caseload reviews and 3way meetings)
  • Supporting operational team to increase their knowledge and awareness of Health and Wellbeing through briefings and the provision of onetoone support for staff.
  • Work with Employment Advisors to identify participants who have health and wellbeing barriers which impact their ability to find and sustain employment
  • Develop rapport with participants and gain their trust
  • Develop Health and Wellbeing Plans for participants with SMART goals
  • Continuously review Health and Wellbeing Plans to ensure they remain a fitforpurpose tool that supports participants to manage
  • Be conversant and ensure full compliance of all company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements with particular reference to Health & Safety (including Safeguarding), The Prevent strategy, Equality / Diversity, 'Access for All', Discipline and Grievance
  • Be prepared to work at other locations / contracts to share good practice and cover absence as necessary
  • Prepare, deliver, or participate in any appropriate learning or development programmes or courses as required by the company; this includes any staff meetings
  • To maintain continual professional development
  • To carry out all duties and responsibilities, whether specified above or otherwise, in a manner that will at all times promote and support the company's objective of achieving continuous quality improvement in all aspects of its business
  • To undertake any other duties in line with the company business needs.
