15 hours per week (Thursday and Friday based on rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts (6am to 2pm or 1pm to 9pm).
52 weeks per year.Grade C £23,115 - £24,140 per annum - Actual annual salary £9,370 to £9,786
We are looking for a Site Assistant to join us in our pledge to deliver our very special blend of 'terrific'.
Duties will include:
- Working with Site Team colleagues to support the Premises Manager in ensuring that buildings, grounds, materials and equipment are maintained and at their very best to support our pupils' teaching and learning.
This includes (this is not an exhaustive list):
- Routine Health and safety checks such as fire bell testing, fire door and extinguisher checks, legionella monitoring, evacuation chair inspection, passenger lift power failover testing, ladders & steps inspections, etc.
- Liaising with the contracted cleaning team
- Managing receipt of deliveries and general portering
- Responding to a wide variety of Helpdesk tickets
- Signing in and inducting contractors, general liaison and escorting as required
- Assisting the Handyman with minor repair and redecoration
- Replenishing consumables
- Cleaning, including windows and litter picking
- Grounds maintenance sweeping and weeding
- Minibus management including: checking log sheets, cleaning and if qualified to drive fuelling, and taking to and from garage for repairs and service.
- Completion of Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments.
- Setting up for assemblies, parents evenings, presentations and other events
The person we are looking for is:
- committed to this 'customer facing' role to all our community, including evening and weekend lettings. You understand you represent our school and are proud to do so.
- committed to on-going training and development to ensure they maintain up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures and applies them throughout the site.
- a team player who will be able to cover other Team members' shifts, sometimes at short notice (annual leave, training, sickness absence)
- supportive of a thorough hand-over to the incoming team member
- Willing to provide occasional weekend cover (Saturday & Sunday)
- First Aid trained. Training will be given if required.
