18 Tonne Day Driver X 2 Based in Bristol - Avonmouth, United Kingdom - Richard Tovey Transport Limited

We are currently looking for two 18 Tonne day shift drivers. The shifts start between 6.30am and 8am until delivery finish. Work days are Monday till Friday inclusive. The depot is based in Bristol. This role may include some days driving a 7.5
Tonne vehicle when required.

Good communication skills, good organisation and a positive outlook are necessary for this role as it is important to be able to remain calm and professional under pressure.

The main duties are listed below:

Job Duties:

• Comply with the Highway Code
• Multi drop deliveries and collections.
• Keeps and submits accurate records of deliveries and customer authorisation, including signing off jobs electronically.
• Drives safely and follows all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Communicates with office to update any issues.
• Able to plan and follow a safe and efficient route.
• Maintain vehicle in a clean, safe and road worthy condition by completing and recording daily walk round checks and informing any defects to management.
• Safely load and unload the vehicle.
• Check freight before departure and comply with Civil Aviation rules and regulations.
• Download tacho on a weekly basis.
• Wear correct PPE during duty.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in training.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Clean UK Driving Licence with no disqualifications within the last 3 years

• Driver Qualification Card

• CPC Periodic Training
• Driver Digital Tachograph Card
• Able to provide a full 5 year history
• Ability to communicate in both spoken and written English.
• Ability to communicate in a calm and professional manner to clients and colleagues.
