Description

The Company of Master Jewellers is a B2B service provider for independent jewellery retailers across the UK and Ireland, supporting businesses to retain a competitive position on the High Street.

We have 150 retailer members and 150 suppliers and are actively growing our membership.

Our marketing function supports the membership development department by promoting the benefits of being part of the CMJ to potential new members, while also communicating with existing members to keep them engaged and up to date with developments within the group.


ROLE OBJECTIVE:

To support the Head of Marketing with day-to-day marketing activity to help meet the strategic marketing and overall business objectives of the CMJ.

To ensure that all communications provide a consistent message.

This is a 12-month maternity cover contract, looking to run February 2023 to February 2024. We support hybrid working, with a minimum of 2 days a week to be spent in the Rugby office.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Managing the CMJ's social media accounts and creating content to maximise reach and engagement.
  • Accurately maintaining and updating the CMJ's public and memberfacing websites.
  • Assisting in the planning and creation of promotional materials, including print and digital collateral, by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying key member social media content to share with our own audience.
  • Updating and distributing information to retailers and suppliers, both via online and offline channels.
  • Helping to organise events and exhibitions, making bookings and overseeing the guestlist as required.
  • Writing and proofreading copy for member communications.
  • Working closely with the CMJ membership department to create targeted campaigns for supplier members.
  • Creating and managing business surveys, collating data and results for reports.
  • Ensuring that member lists and directories are kept accurately up to date.
  • Assisting with the creation and supply of content for our event app.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders including marketing agencies to ensure work is delivered on time.
  • Representing the CMJ at industry events and exhibitions as required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:


  • Good working knowledge of Photoshop and experience of creating image content.
  • Good working knowledge of Wordpress.
  • An enthusiasm for digital marketing.
  • Experience of devising and writing interesting content for news / newsletters.
  • Experience of planning and scheduling social media content.
  • Great interpersonal skills; a strong team player.
  • An ambitious and driven individual.
  • Excellent written and oral skills. Attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload in a busy environment.
  • A creative thinker with a keen interest in marketing in today's world.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Graduate or minimum of 2 years' experience in B2B marketing
  • Desirable: Knowledge of jewellery industry

Job Types:

Salary:
Up to £30,000.00 per year
