Manufacturing Engineer - Electrochemical Sensors - Cambridge


A medical devices company based in Cambridgeshire are looking for a senior manufacturing / new product introduction engineer to join their fledgling team and help take their first products from development through to production.


This company is looking to transform the lives of their patients by providing a step-change in real-time personalised health information via their novel sensor technology.


As a manufacturing engineer within the business, you will be taking lead on their manufacturing process development, including controlling each stage of the process and planning experimental work to discover where improvements can be made with the productand processes.

You will also be given responsibility for manging and selecting sub-contractors and suppliers of components as well as running the day-to-day production of prototypes.

This company is looking for an engineer that has hands-on experience with design and manufacturing, ideally coupled with an understanding of ISO13485 and electrochemical devices and sensors.

Familiarity with manufacturing process improvement methodologieswould be an advantage, as would holding an engineering-related degree.


This role will grow as the company grows and along with your technical contribution you will play a key part in shaping their working practices and team culture.
