Software Developer in Test | Remote | API | Python | Java | AWS | Lambda | CI/CD| Jenkins | Video Streaming | computer vision engineering | data science |data engineering | £75,000 | Remote working

Wedo has recently partnered with a super exciting business in the video streaming industry. Our client is building a best in class product for partners like Netflix, BBC and Disney.

What's really exciting about this role is that you get to work closely withcomputer vision engineering teams, data science, and machine learning teams and have a lot of free time to R&D new solutions that solve highly complex problems.

As a Developer in Test, you will have the following experience:
Has experience working in feature development teams as a IC Developer in Test

Has a background in OO programming principles & practices that compliments your breadth of knowledge in various testing tools.

You consider yourself an Engineer / Developer with a mindset for quality

You are able to test across the test pyramid and encourage low-level testing such as component, integration, unit, contract test

You advocate modern agile ways of working (Pairing, Amigo's, Mob)

You can write clean production-level code in Java or Python and ideally one front-end language like TypeScript

You understand how to leverage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

You know how to test SaaS deployment onto AWS and have a grasp of serverless architecture (Lambda) although they will consider Azure backgrounds too (multi-cloud environments)

You have experience building robust, scalable automation frameworks from scratch for APIs and have experience at test architecture level


Some part of their tech stack: Java, Python (backend), Angular, TypeScript (Front End), AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Sphinx, embedded Linux, Appium, Schemathesis, and Fastapi.


They will consider anybody able and willing to learn their tech stack, so long as they have proven Software Engineering capability before going into Test.
