Salary:
£53,400 - £65,400 + up to £7,500 skills allowance

You will be a crucial part of our new Advanced Content Co-Creation service, a part of our Digital Publishing directorate focused on developing new advanced data-driven formats (including bespoke data visualisation products, scrolly-telling, semi-automated journalism), and creating new citizen-focused content in partnership with ONS statistical teams.

This is some of the most publicly visible technical work at ONS, producing and facilitating content aimed directly at individual members of the public.


As a seasoned mentor, you enjoy coaching & developing other engineers' skills, and you're happy to set standards and lead code-reviews within your team.

You are a skilled engineer, with expertise and understanding across front-end development and good knowledge of some of our tech stack (listed below), with willingness to learn the rest over time and with the support of ONS.

Last of all, you have enthusiasm and capability to develop front-end experiences involving data, mapping and visualisation.
