My client is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join their team.
They need someone who is confident working both independently and also closely with the Sales and Service teams.
They are expanding and need added resource to help the continue the current trajectory. There will be support and a handover for the first phase of your journey.

About you:

  • You will need to have a successful track record in the management of an entire finance function and be confident using Reapit/Xero/HSBC NET.
It would be helpful if you had a formal accounting qualification, know your way around Sage Payroll.
The core responsibilities

  • Monthly management accounts, End of Year draft accounts, liaising with accountants
  • Running the ARLA report
  • Carrying out daily/weekly rent/contractor payments
  • Dealing with any invoice/payment queries
  • Monthly payroll including HMRC payments and statutory reports
  • Purchase Ledge
  • Sales Ledger and credit control
  • HR Administration maintain personnel files for all employees.
  • Administer online holiday/absence booking system.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT return through Xero accounts programme.
  • Check/modify reported figures and input via MTD to HMRC
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Process payments for purchase of deposits and supplier invoices
  • Maintain and update Reapitfinancial information
  • Maintain compliance with financial institutions, update licences and insurance records
Salary

The role is for 30 hours a week and we will offer the right person circa £30,000 pa along with the company pension scheme and private medical insurance.
