Learning Mentor | SEN School/Alternative Provision | Islington | ASAP Start


This progressive school in Islington are looking for a Learning Mentor to join their small specialist team, teaching and supporting learners with emotional and behavioural difficulties who struggle with all areas of learning and social integration.


THE ROLE
The role will be full-time, starting immediately and paying competitively.

The role also offers great progression with staff often employed on a permanent role and pushed up through the AP as they look to employ for promotions internally.


REQUIREMENTS:


To be a Learning Mentor in this school it is important that you are calm and collective in challenging situation.

This provision is a new venture for the school, and you must be able to work well in a team and respect and value the different experiences,ideas and backgrounds others can bring to work and to the teams.

You must have full working knowledge and experience of implementing learning and therapeutic approaches along with a good understanding of child development and learning processes.


For this Learning Mentor role must be confident and experienced as you will be expected to lead and support other staff, the school are looking for 2 learning mentors and ideally would like them to have either a psychology degree or to have experience withspeech and language therapy.

- £100 to £120 per day

  • Significant relevant experience as a Learning Mentor (essential)
