This post is integral to the work of the Trust Lead (NMAHP Research).

The post-holder will be responsible for delivering a range of activities and projects aimed at supporting and sustaining the developing NMAHP Research agenda at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals.

The post-holder will be part of a wider research team which may vary over time.

Typically this would include a Chief Nurse Senior Research Fellow, a team Administrator, links with Trust funded Research Interns and close working with senior NMAHP Clinical Academics and research active clinicians at different stages of their research.


The commitments will vary over time as the post-holder develops their skills and as the research infrastructure of the team grows.


There are four key elements to the role:

o Coordinating the delivery of specific projects and programmes toembed and further develop the research culture at Newcastle uponTyne Hospitalso Developing expertise in research methods, study protocols and grant writing.

This will include supporting the delivery of corporate research projects on behalf of the Senior NMAHP teamo Developing own research expertise and interest with a view toMClinRes and beyondo Developing and leading the promotion and communication of theNMAHP Research agenda at the trust (Social Media campaigns,coordinating, designing and disseminating promotional material,newsletters and good news stories, conference planning, supportingtraining programmes etc.) As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you.
