An opportunity has arisen at Frimley Park Hospital, part of Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, for an experienced Mammographer to become part of the Symptomatic Breast Imaging team delivering a high quality service.


Frimley Park Hospital is located in Frimley, Surrey and offers digital mammography comprising of 2D Mammography, Digital Breast Tomosynthesis, Contrast Enhanced Spectral Mammography and Breast Ultrasound.


The successful applicant will have excellent communication and mammography skills and will enjoy working as part of a small dedicated and supportive team.

This post holder will have the opportunity to maintain skills in other areas
such as CT, IR, Cath Lab and general radiography if desired.

Produce high quality mammographic images, perform other mammographic procedures and assist with ultrasound examinations.

Triaging symptomatic breast referrals.

Participate in QA and report of faults.

Audit.

Partaking in Breast MDT.

General Administration tasks.

Supervising Trainee Mammographers.


The breast imaging unit at Frimley Park comprises of a friendly close knit team with the Mammographers working in close conjunction with the breast Radiologists.

Providing high quality imaging and exceptional patient care.

You will be working as part of our multidisciplinary breast team in providing an efficient and effective diagnostic service.

Good attention to detail, the ability to work independently and a flexible approach to work is essential for this role.

We are open to all discussions around flexible working and part time working.

Performing mammograms, symptomatic, surveillance and Family History Screening.

Triaging all TWR breast referrals into the Frimley side of the Trust, requesting Breast imaging as appropriate.

Assisting the Radiologist with stereotactic and tomo biopsies. Performing CESM, cannulating patients when necessary.

Assisting in ultrasound procedures when required.

Justifying breast imaging referrals.

Allocating appropriate appointments to patient requiring specialist breast imaging.

Perform QA.
