Lecturer in Englishat our
Crawley campus.

You will join us on a
part time (14.8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of
Pro rata of £22,156 - £38,894(i.e.

£8, £15, per annum plus pro rata of £610.08 Crawley Weighting (i.e. £ per annum.

The Lecturer in English role:

As our
Lecturer in English, you will undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners' needs.

Key Responsibilities of our Lecturer in English:

Liaising with other staff as appropriate to ensure a high standard of learning
Providing effective feedback to clients
Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters
Monitoring student enrolment, success rates and taking remedial action where necessary, this will include final assessments where necessary
Taking an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each
Developing curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration literacy and numeracy development, and equality and diversity
Undertaking evaluation to drive improvement
Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety at all times and ensuring that students are aware of safe practices and procedures
Understanding personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding
Keeping uptodate with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector

Our ideal Lecturer in Englishshould have the below skills and experience:

An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups
The ability to manage challenging behaviour within the classroom/online
The ability to obtain an appropriate teaching qualification as defined by the Corporation
