Our client is looking for a Buyer for a contract position, located in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.Role
This is a varied and interesting role, working within a small team in a medium sized, global organisation within the offshore/onshore and global energy industries.
The job holder will be required to procure all business materials, set quality documentation requirements, agree on procurement terms, expedite materials, monitor supplier standards and performance, ensure that materials are bought under the best terms - quality, timely delivery, pricing.
Responsibilities
- Generate purchase orders
- Expedite materials ensuring timely delivery of all orders
- Negotiate procurement terms
- Audit suppliers in line with ISO requirements
- Update costing BOMS
- Operate through the business management system
- Insphire
- The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements
Requirement
Essential
- Organised, people skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, workshop and project demands for fast paced environment.
- Hands on; willing to get stuck into any task
Desirable
- Project Planning; Cost Control
- CIPS qualification
- ROV tooling and ROV systems equipment knowledge
