Join our clients team of award winning sustainability experts and make an impact in the net-zero carbon challenge.As an innovative environmental designer, engineer, or skilled technician, you'll play a key role in analyzing and implementing ground-breaking solutions for clients in the retail, food and beverage, and built environment sectors.
You'll work on various projects with developers, housing associations, asset owners, and local authorities. Responsibilities include developing carbon reduction plans, retrofit strategies, and whole life carbon and sustainability strategies for new-build developments. Engage with local authorities to tackle climate emergencies and advise senior leaders to shape industry practices.As part of the delivery team, you'll report to our clients Energy and Carbon Lead. With your analytical and organizational skills, you'll manage stakeholder relationships effectively within project-specific areas.
Energy & Carbon Specialist Roles:
- Model carbon emissions from existing buildings, exploring options for reduction.
- Provide technical advice for impactful energy retrofit programs, especially in residential properties.
- Prepare concise and accurate reports and presentations for clients.
- Organize project meetings and deliver milestone presentations.
- Collaborate on tender responses, methodology development, budgeting, and project partner acquisition.
- Assist in preparing commercial proposals and case studies.
Essential for the Energy & Carbon Specialist:
- Building energy modelling experience in at least one of these programs (SAP, SBEM, IES, PHPP)
- Proficient in Excel and numerical analysis
- Effective under pressure and as a team player
- It would be desirable to have:
- Retrofit and energy efficiency expertise
- Experience in carbon emissions modeling, including transportation sources
- Familiarity with environmental certifications (BREEAM, LEED, WELL)
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, STEM, Architecture, Construction, or Geography
- Masters or relevant professional certifications preferred
