Are you working in Practice but want to make a move into Industry? Do you have strong technical accounting knowledge but feel you could add value in a more commercially focused role? Would you like to work for a growing SME with huge potential for futuregrowth and investment? If so, then my client has a fantastic opportunity to join them as Management Accountant.

Reporting into the CFO of this fast paced and high growth business you will play a key role in managing the finances and providing accurate and relevant management accounts to the senior leadership team.

The role will be varied but the main duties will include:


  • Maintain SAGE accounts by posting purchase invoices, daily bank recs and managing supplier payment runs
  • Prepare Monthly management accounts with month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Manage daily cashflow for exec team use, planning for future cash and expenditure
  • Prepare weekly margin reports, with financial reconciliations from revenue streams for internal distribution
  • Review and monitor monthly EU VAT Returns
  • Prepare, review and submit quarterly UK VAT returns
  • Ad Hoc commercial analysis
  • SAGE Monthly Payroll
  • Manage Company Staff Expenses
  • Forecast submissions as required
  • Strong technical accounting skills covering P&L, balance sheet and year end accounts
  • Highly IT literate, including excellent Excel Skills (Vlookups & pivot tables)
  • Ability to handle data from online platforms and analyse in excel
  • A desire to work in a small finance function including hands on financial accounting, management accounting and reporting
