Part time - 8 hours per week (Thursday & Friday mornings)

Job Summary:

The main responsibilities of the post-holder will be;
- scanning all clinical correspondence
- culling new patient records

  • Working strictly in accordance with the Practice protocols.

Job responsibilities
To support the Data Team in all day-to-day activity.


Responsibility for administration

  • Scanning of letters and relevant correspondence into patient's notes via Docman clinical system.
  • Extraction of necessary data from clinical correspondence and input into the Electronic Patient Record
  • Culling patient records.
  • Assisting data collection audits for the Practice as requested.
  • Filing and retrieving paperwork
  • File copies of hospital referrals.
  • File hospital letters.
  • Action GP requests to chase patient appointments and clinical letterswhen asked.
  • Report faults to Data Administration Team.
  • Ensure accurate report output.
  • Ensure security of data at all times.
  • Covering other teams as required
  • Any other duties relating to this post and delegated by the Partners and Practice Management.

Person Specification:


REQUIRED
Experience

  • Experience in dealing regularly with the public and patients.
Skills and knowledge

  • An understanding, acceptance, and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, and common sense.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated multiskilled team.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a changing environment.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to selfmotivate, organise, and prioritise own workload.

  • Motivated and enthusiastic.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience working in the NHS.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Understanding of working effectively within multidisciplinary groups in healthcare.
  • Training in using the EMIS Web clinical system and Docman workflow system.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced numeracy skills.
  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to make effective relationships with others.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm

Part-time hours: 8 per week
