**Have you completed training which enables you to support young people with additional needs?
**Are you looking for an opportunity to transfer your experience/training into a role working with children?
Primary schools across Birmingham and Solihull are looking to recruit Support workers to work as SEN Teaching assistants.


Mainstream primary schools support pupils with a wide range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, which leads to interaction or communication difficulties.

Due to the specific needs of the pupils, school are now looking to appoint supportworkers who can use their training, experience, and personalities to support the young people as Teaching assistants in the classroom.


The available positions will involve working directly with pupils who have Autism and complex needs, so we are ideally looking for Support workers who have significant experience working with children or adults who have additional and complex needs.

The ideal Support worker for this SEN Teaching assistant position will have:

  • Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity
  • Experience working within a Care or Residential Sector
  • Experience deescalating challenging behaviours and children in crisis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
