We are currently looking for aScrum Master experienced with business and/or technology projects.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Our client is a Canadian global company experiencing remarkable growth.

The Scrum Master will report to the Software Developer Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of Software Development projects, setting sensible time frames, identifying, and managing risks, tracking, and controlling the progress of projectswhile coordinating with relevant team members.

You will facilitate agile ceremonies (meetings, stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

As a Scrum Master, you will work with the management team to enable an agile work style, facilitate multi-team projects, and troubleshoot between cross-functional teams.

You utilize your experience and skills to record, track, and monitor project timelines and the team's performance while facilitating workshop exercises to nurture team improvements and overall group alignment.

You have the experience in managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

facilitating daily stand-ups with the Scrum team.

- collaborating with product owners to prioritize the Product Backlog in order of business value.
- develop and maintain JIRA Scrum boards, with the assistance of the team, to track work in process.
- respond to and champion challenges positively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- collaborate with product owners and Scrum Team to develop and maintain the "project roadmap".
- regularly monitor and report on Scrum Team using metrics such as Velocity; Cycle Time; Burndown; etc.
- aid the team by removing barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams through process or workflow improvement?
- help the team stay focused on the tasks that need to be done during each iteration and look for distractions and roadblocks that can impede progress
- compile and distribute the weekly project status report according to accepted practices and timelines.
- coach individuals and teams in understanding how to continuously improve and adopt agile practices.
- ensure that all ceremonies deliver value to the team and to the organization.

ABOUT THE REQUIRED SKILLS:
You hold a bachelor's degree/BS in computer science, software engineering, engineering, mathematics, or related discipline.

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master working with Kanban and Scrum boards

- solid project management experience and managing technical projects.

CSM or PSM Certification is required and PMP is an asset.
Exceptional knowledge in Agile and Scrum frameworks
Effectively working through conflict and deescalates tricky situations
Strong independent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
Strong knowledge of Jira, Kanban Boards and Confluence is an asset
Solid experience in agile software development methodologies, values and practices, new and leading agile tools, and techniques
Ability to coach the team and motivate them to perform and achieve their goals
Ability to lead, collaborate with, and influence crossfunctional teams

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 3-month contract role to be performed in the Reading, UK office, onsite._(with flexibility)_.
There is a strong intent to transition to a permanent role if both parties are amenable.
