PRIMARY SPORTS - AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB LEAD


Primary Sports and Education has been operating in the Southwest for 13 years and delivering over 3500 hours of Sports Coaching and Wrap Around Care per week.

The company is rapidly growing into one of the leading sports coaching and Wrap Around Care organisations in the South West.


We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, a good communicate, is able to work on their own initiative, to organise and innovate a number of activities and provide a safe structured environment for children.


Part Time Position available for Exmouth Area - January 2024

Personal Specification


The setting lead will oversee the running of daily activities, ensuring that children are safe and happy during their visit.

The setting lead will also be responsible for planning and supervising activities with enthusiasm, ranging from arts and crafts, structured play, sports, baking and team games.

They will be responsible for maintaining the site according to the legislation and Ofsted requirements.


Rates of pay:
£13.00 to £16.50 p/h depending on experience/qualifications.


  • Appropriate Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or willingness to complete.
  • Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Clean driving license
  • Clear enhanced DBS check
  • Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Safeguarding and Child protection
  • Prevent training
  • Allergy training
  • Preventing the spread of COVID certificate
  • Knowledge of the current National Curriculum (September 2019)
  • Knowledge of the current GDPR laws and regulations
  • A clear passion for working with Children
  • Experience of delivering a wide range of activities/sports to primary aged children
  • Experience of working with SEN children
  • Competent in literacy and numeracy at level 3 standard
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Competent in using social media
