What is the role?

We are looking for a Head Housekeeper to manage our friendly housekeeping team at our beautiful nursing home near Marlborough, Wiltshire.

Who are you?

We are seeking a Head Housekeeper who will need to have previous experience as a domestic assistant/cleaner outside of your own home.

In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude to working, be reliable and have a caring disposition towards older people.

What will I be doing?

Oversee all duties of the cleaning and laundry staff
Liaise with Residents and/or Relatives to identify residents wishes in respect of their laundry and the cleaning of their room and personal effects
Supervise all specialist or contract cleaners operating at the home and monitor supplier performance, product and service and costs making recommendations for efficiencies.
Produce, implement, review and continually improve daily, weekly and monthly schedules of work for cleaning as well as for less frequent tasks
Undertake ordering and maintain stock levels of cleaning chemicals, tools, machinery and equipment including periodically auditing the condition of all equipment in your department and organising repairs or requesting replacements as required.
Monitor the laundry to ensure that it is operating as efficiently
Carry out Risk Assessments
Ensure that COSHH regulations are maintained

What is Brendoncare Froxfield like?
Brendoncare Froxfield provides residential and nursing care for 44 people, including as care for people living with dementia.

Froxfield has been designed to provide a home-like atmosphere where individual needs can be met.

With three separate households, there is a feeling of living in a small family unit while residents have access to all the home's facilities.

Each of the bedrooms has a view of the gardens or surrounding fields and lanes.

The home has a house rabbit named Rolo who will often free-roam in communal areas and the beautiful garden, and there are plenty of opportunities for residents to continue with previous leisure interests, trips out and events held at the home.
