We are now recruiting for a Senior ECI Engineer to work for our long-standing Bulk Fuels client operating fuel storage facilities UK wide.

Home based with travel to Gosport/ Plymouth Sites

Negotiable (Inclusive of expenses)
Duration: 6+ Months

The Role:
- Work with management systems, procedures and workflows.
- Provide assistance and guidance to the operations and maintenance teams
- Oversee and manage all aspects of EC&I projects during the installation, commissioning handover phases of projects.
- Assisting the Electrical Authorised Person in the execution of his duties on an ad hoc basis
- Support the technical authority providing leadership and guidance within the team on EC&I matters for operations, maintenance and Projects.
- Plan and manage own workload for EC&I tasks in line with company standards and relevant and UK / European legislation.
- Develop EC&I scopes of work.
- Contribute to the development of budgets and forecasts for work.
- Liaise with other members of the Asset Technical Team on standards & codes.
- Identify and select suppliers in line with relevant legislation and Agency procedures.
- Contribute to the development of detailed programme of works/Gantt charts etc.
- Working knowledge of COMAH, MOC, and CDM regulations.
- Previous experience of working within MAH environments.
- Previous experience of managing multiple site works.
- Manage documentation/data/records within document management systems.
- Ad hoc projects and tasks on other projects as approved by the Line Manager.
- Contribute to the development of budget proposals for project and maintenance spends and work collaboratively with Finance to provide management information for monthly reporting.
Experience Required:
- Have excellent knowledge underpinned with experience in process control programming languages such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) or DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
- Experience of Electrical engineering design and installation in a hazardous area process plant environment
- Qualified and experienced to be deemed competent to work on high voltage (HV) electrical systems following safe working practices.
- This should include experience of operating and maintenance of both 11KV distribution systems and 3.3KV motors and their associated starters.
- With experienced in the planning and conducting of high voltage switching programmes.
- Ideally be qualified and experienced at an "Authorised Persons" level with regard to HV systems.
- Knowledge of legislation relating to ATEX, BS 7671, BS EN 61508, PSLG, COMAH and CDM.
- Able to demonstrate management/people relationship skills, in particular management of contractors.
- Ability to develop new ideas and solutions with an awareness of current and emerging technologies.
- Solid understanding of good project management principles; able to act as an "intelligent client".
- Able to demonstrate a proven track record of resolving issues over a wide range of time frames utilising short term problem solving activities through to longer term strategic development.
- Experience of LEAN 6 Sigma an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full Driving Licence
- Qualified, with a minimum of 5 years' experience, in Electrical, Instrumentation and/or Control engineering discipline, ideally at Chartered engineer status or working towards that level, with project management experience preferably within a COMAH regulatedindustry/operation.
