Our client, a well established company based in the Westhougton area of Bolton are looking to recruit an Interim Credit Controller to work on a 3-6 month contract.

This is an exciting role for an experienced Credit Controller to review and implement rapid changes to the credit control function at the company.

The duties of this Interim Credit Controller role will include:

  • Undertake a review of the credit control function, and implementing agreed improvements to processes and controls
  • Evaluate the credit status of the debtor's ledger
  • Conduct negotiations with customers to set terms and conditions for payment of receivables
  • Ensure daily cash and debtor targets are met
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure good management of debt
  • Review and implement revised compliance to standard policies and regulations
  • Maintain effective and accurate records of customers' accounts and purchasing activities
  • Monitor payment history to identify changes in reparation and take necessary actions
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of debtor ledger accounts
  • Ensure prompt reply to client and internal feedback
  • Commence legal action where necessary
The knowledge and skill requirements for this Interim Credit Controller are:

  • Proven experience as a senior credit controller
  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit control systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of Sage 200, or similar
  • Knowledge of Sage Job Costing or knowledge of contract costing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within timescales and to deadlines
  • Efficient and methodical approach to time and task management


In return the company offer this role on a full time basis (with some flexibility) for an initial period 3-6 months with a view to extending beyond that point.

Salary is negotiable but c£28,000 - £32,000 per annum pro rata
