Wood Machinist

Aspex UK are looking for an experienced Wood Machinist/Bench Joiner to join our growing team at our Leicester HQ and factory.

Responsibilities:

As a skilled Wood Machinist/Bench Joiner, your job responsibilities will include:

Competent in using wood machinery and handheld power tools, including edge bander and press
Attention to detail, good preparation and finishing skills
Able to understand design drawings and work towards project deadlines
Assist with the manufacturing, fitting and assembly of components for doors
Willingness to work towards tight deadlines
Assist with moving, handling and storing material
Follow Health & Safety policy and procedures

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years' experience with wood joinery
Positive attitude with good communication skills
Be a good team player as well as able to work independently
Ability to work in a fastpaced, busy environment
Ability to lift heavy objects
Good timekeeping
Willing to work overtime and weekends as required

Starting salary:
£13.00 p/h, permanent role

Salary:
From £13.00 per hour
