Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Admin Officer to join our dynamic team at The Frying Squad.

As the Finance and Admin Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations and administrative functions of our business.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for finance and strong organisational skills to contribute to the success and growth of our fish and chip shop.


Responsibilities:

Financial Management_:Oversee daily financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.

  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor spending to ensure adherence to the budget.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.

  • Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and support decisionmaking.

Administrative Support_: Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including filing, documentation, and data entry.

  • Coordinate staff scheduling and maintain employee records.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Support HR functions such as employee onboarding and maintaining personnel records.

General Support_: Provide general assistance and support to the management team as required.

  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to finance and administration.


Qualifications/Experience

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting
  • Proven experience (2 years) in finance, accounting, or administration roles. (Preferable)
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word).
  • Experience in using software such as: Lightyear or Quickbooks (Preferable)

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
From £14,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Bangor: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Accounting: 1 year (preferred)
