The role:
Key responsibilities:
- Tendering for small to medium sized cone penetration testing (CPT) projects (shift rates and performance/BoQ rates)
- Regular communication with clients to discuss new tenders/opportunities, ongoing projects, invoices, or general enquiries
- Maintain good client relationships to help secure continuing business
- Preparation, collation, and timely distribution of project documentation
- PQQs, RAMS, project information sheets
- Procurement of thirdparty suppliers as required
- Assist Onland Manager in successful delivery of our site works; involvement in project logistics and planning
- Interface with the site team throughout the project life cycle to ensure their requirements are met and to identify issues where appropriate
- Keeping the client updated regarding any problems or changes
- Be proactive in your learning and development
Attributes required to carry out the role:
- A confident communicator
- Good telephone manner
- Strong IT skills, well versed in Excel and other systems
- Good organisational skills, meticulous record keeping with an eye for detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to build good working relationships
- Flexible and openminded able to deal with change
- A proactive style of work, identifies and acts upon activities that need to be completed
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable attributes:
- Commercial awareness is expected with a basic knowledge of the more commonly used forms of contract such as the NEC or ICE Small works form
- Geotechnical knowledge
- Experience with site works
- CSCS card
