EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

One of our commitments is to do our bit for the environment is ensuring we use everything we can, and in this role, it involves the increasingly valuable commodity - sewage and sludge.

As a business we ensure most of our waste is cleaned and safely returned to the rivers, increasingly we're finding innovative green uses for it in farming and energy generation - in fact we generate some of our own electricity from the sewage we process.

Your role as a tanker driver you will be working regular, local routes, driving CAT C and CAT C+E vehicles as required by business need.

You'll be responsible for safely collecting, delivering and transporting it in vacuum tankers between Severn Trent sites. It's a great role for people who enjoy working outdoors, whatever the weather.

Working out of our Four Ashes, Cannock depot you will work nights across a 48 hour working week Monday

Friday. The hours are as following Mon
Thurs am Fri 17.00 to 01.30am.

So, are you a Tanker Driver who has the ability to think on their feet and play a major role in Bioresources business?

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

You'll be in charge of the collection of sewage, sludge or other non-hazardous wastes from Severn Trent sewage treatment works and transporting it to our discharge sites as all within our procedures and road transport legislation.
You'll perform and record your daily and weekly vehicle checks as to ensure that both you and your vehicle is safe and roadworthy, if there are any issues you will be expected to report these to relevant parties.
Liaise with other departments including Transport, Operations and Maintenance to ensure you are able to complete your job to the best of your ability.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

To be successful, it's expected that you have a LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) driving licence (category C+E/class 1) and a DQC valid until September 2024 and a Digital Tachograph card.

It would be great if you have experience of driving with liquid loads such as petrol, dairy etc, but this is not essential.
