Join us as a Commercial Lending Fraud Product Owner

  • This is an opportunity for a driven Product Owner to take on an exciting new career challenge in our Commercial & Institutional Fraud Management team
  • Based in our Fraud Prevention Centre of Expertise, you'll be working with stakeholders across the bank to identify and implement fraud controls

What you'll do:


We'll look to you to bring the point of view of our customers, end users, and stakeholders to the forefront of understanding the product vision.

You'll own and drive the fraud product vision and roadmap, contributing to the wider objectives.


You'll make a vital contribution to driving a generative culture of risk awareness, recommending solutions to risk issues within the businesses, and strengthening the level of ownership within the business.


In addition, you'll:

  • Be accountable for the team backlog and help break down features into stories and priorities
  • Analyse client insight, market and competitor analysis, and the fraud performance of the product set, to enhance the proposition offering across all franchise journeys
  • Demonstrate commercial responsibility for the product set with endtoend profit and loss view, including benefits realisation
  • Partner with Finance to ensure budgets align with client journey performance
  • Measure and report to forums and committees on fraud risk management
  • Provide fraud advice on customers and transactions

The skills you'll need:

You'll need a good understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience of working in an Agile or Scrum team.

Along with a passion for customer centric design, you'll have the ability to innovate, partner, and collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to implement the best digital experience for our customers.

You'll also have extensive knowledge of commercial core lending products, including governmental schemes and the associated fraud landscape.


You'll also need:

  • Knowledge of product development in the financial services industry
  • Experience of changing team or department mindsets, culture and structure
  • Experience of working with delivery teams and knowledge of collaboration techniques
  • Strong leadership skills with proven product experience in the financial services industry and a focus on delivering customer value
  • A good understanding of risk and controls management
