Defence Training
The Training Capability Lead role is based within our Defence Training business area.


The role


The difference our new Training Capability Lead will make, As a Training Capability Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary.

This role is working closely with our training business, solutions teams, and business development personnel to provide supporting services to deliver first class training to our customers.


Day to day, you'll support the team on the delivery of key presentations and capability mapping to support the business, also supporting our solutions team in the technical response of bids and proposals.


Horizon scanning of disrupting training technologies and methodologies, identifying opportunities to inform capability direction, lead on supporting the trial and transition of innovative technologies and practices into business as usual.


Promote and provide guidance to key stakeholders, to enable the enhancement of learning outcomes by utilising evidence-based novel training methodologies and technologies to ensure a proactive development culture and environment.

This role provides mainly home working but will require travel to either Andover or Lyneham and to customers (mileage will be paid).


Essential experience

  • Be able to work on own and be proactive
  • Driven Personality
  • Experience within a Nuclear or Engineering Background ideal
  • Previous experience with Modelling and simulation
  • Experience of building relationships with senior stakeholders both internal and external
  • Experience in identifying and implementing best practice in emerging training technologies and methods across sectors
  • Excellent communicator
  • Resilient
