You will be working as part of a fantastic team who are dedicated to working together on the production, packaging, and delivery of the fantastic product that we produce.

The Brewer will be responsible for Wort Production on our 50HL brewhouse as well as all aspects of cellaring (tank cleans, dry hopping, transfers etc).

They will report to the Lead Brewer and work aligned to refine our operations and processes to ensure the best possible quality and consistency as well as maximising yields where possible.

The role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Wort Production: Prepare and produce wort according to established recipes and brewing procedures, ensuring consistency and quality in every batch.
  • Tank Cleaning: Clean and sanitise brewing vessels, fermentation tanks, and other equipment to maintain a clean and safe brewing environment.
  • Dry Hopping: Add hops to the brewing process during fermentation, following specified techniques and timing to enhance aroma and flavour profiles.
  • Other Cellaring Jobs: Assist with various cellaring tasks, including yeast management, monitoring fermentation, and ensuring proper conditioning of beer.
  • Quality Measurements: Conduct regular quality control tests and measurements throughout the brewing process to maintain consistent product quality and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Raw Materials:

Monitor and manage inventory levels of brewing ingredients, such as malts, hops, and yeast, using brewery software or inventory management systems.


  • Cleaning and

Maintaining Equipment:
Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of brewing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and prevent downtime.

  • Attending Team Meetings: Participate in team meetings to discuss production schedules, new recipe development, quality improvement initiatives, and other breweryrelated matters.
  • Packaging: Assist with kegging and racking casks, ensuring proper packaging techniques and quality control measures are followed.

Other duties may include:

  • Canning: Operate canning equipment and assist with canning operations, including canning line setup, maintenance, and quality checks.
  • Recipe Development: Collaborate with the brewing team to develop new and innovative beer recipes, experimenting with ingredients and techniques to create unique flavours.
  • Managing Quality Systems: Maintain and improve quality control systems, including SOPs, data collection, and analysis, to ensure consistent product quality and adherence to industry standards.

Sensory Program:

Participate in sensory evaluation sessions, provide feedback on beer flavour profiles, and assist in developing sensory training programs for the team.


  • Warehouse Support: Assist with inventory management, organization, and logistics in the brewery's warehouse, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of raw materials and finished products.
  • Beer Deliveries: Help with beer deliveries to distributors, retail outlets, and events, ensuring accurate documentation, timely deliveries, and excellent customer service.
  • Staffing Events and Festivals: Represent the brewery at various events and festivals, providing beer tastings, engaging with customers, and promoting the brewery's brand and products.
The duties listed above require a Brewer with relevant experience and transferable skills.

All the following skills are required for this role and the successful applicant will show evidence, or provide examples, of the following:


  • Minimum of two years of brewing experience in a commercial brewing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of brewing theory and practice, including a solid understanding of brewing processes, recipe formulation, and quality control measure
