The Successful Applicant will

Have previous experience as a head/lead fitter OR supervisory experience of managing others in a similar environment.
Level 3 Plant Mechanic or Maintenance Qualification
Forklift Licence
LOLER Certification
HGV Qualification
Counterbalance Forklift Licence desirable

You will oversee the efficient running of the workshop and yard, maximising availability of plant machinery across our sites.

Allocate and monitor workload of workshop and yard personnel ensuring health and safety of all within the workshop and yard.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;

Work alongside the Plant Manager to schedule, coordinate and supervise the daytoday workload of fitters and yard personnel.
Offer day to day support and guidance to fitters.
Maintain parts stock levels.
Manage existing and new suppliers.
Coordinate workshop repairs on all plant including road going vehicles (trucks & vans), dumpers, excavators be delivered on time and safely.
Coordinate delivery/collection of machinery and plant.
Ensure that complete and accurate records are kept of all servicing and repairs.
Maintain a system of inspection of all off hired machinery to identify damages that should be chargeable to customers/users.
Maintain a high level of safe working practices and adhere to health & safety risk assessments and regulations.
Lifting Inspections and sign off's
Mentoring of trainee or apprentices

Package
Competitive salary - dependant on experience

20 days holiday plus bank holidays

Pension Contribution

Hours - 7:00am to 5:00pm
