    Job Title: Placements & Assessment Officer

    Contract Type: 3 - 6 months with possibility of extension

    Salary: £25/hour

    We are partnering with the local authorities to find a skilled professional to fill this role.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning placements and support services for Looked After Children and care leavers, ensuring their individual needs are met within available resources.

    • Conduct Quality Assurance visits to residential and semi-independent facilities before or shortly after placement, evaluating provision against Ofsted reports.
    • Analyze assessment information and produce quarterly reports for senior staff members.
    • Provide management information on quality, quantity, and cost to senior managers.

    This role requires knowledge of complex needs in Looked After Children and understanding of suitable interventions. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in relevant legislation, policies, and procedures such as the Children Act 2012, Children Homes Regulations 2010, and Safeguarding policies.
