Would you like to join our team to be part of our caretaker team and to cover medication delivery driver.

We are looking for a trustworthy and enthusiastic caretaker to work 6 hours per week on Mondays from 7.30am am and 4.00pm - 7.00pm. You would also need flexibility to cover other team members for Annual Leave and the medication delivery service.
**Additional cover for other caretakers and the delivery service which will be ad hoc but likely to be up to 35 days for Annual Leave per year plus extra days for possible sickness cover.

When covering the hours will vary and could be:

Tuesday 7.30am am and 4.00pm - 7.00pm, Wednesday 7.30am am and 5.00pm - 8.00pm, Thursday 7.30am am and 5.00pm - 8.00pm, Friday 7.30am am and 4.00pm - 7.00pm

Cover for the delivery service when needed will be Tuesday - Thursdays 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

Pay £10.42 per hour

Closing date 29th March 2023 with interviews planned for 17th April 2023. If you have not heard back by the 12th April 2023 you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

To carry out the various policies and procedures associated with the operation of the building. Specifically those relating to hygiene, stock, security and access; health and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The following list is typical of the level of duties which the post holder will be expected to perform.

It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar type and level may be required from time to time.


  • To carry out the Practice's security procedures, for locking and securing buildings.
  • Carrying out waste management procedures through out the buildings.
  • To operate the heating system in accordance with agreed procedures (including frost precaution) to ensure that appropriate temperatures are maintained and hot water in available.
  • To provide access to the building in the event of snow (including gritting paths during cold weather conditions, or minor flooding or similar emergency situations).
  • To deal with general enquiries from staff, workmen, contractors and members of the public.
  • To carry out minor or temporary repairs and maintenance tasks or report as necessary in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • As directed by line manager to direct workmen and temporary contractors to the sites of repair and the maintenance work and inspecting the work of contractors where there is a requirement to sign a satisfaction note.
  • To carry out porterage duties as required, including the coordination of the removal and placement of furniture and equipment.
  • To arrange distribution and storage of materials and goods delivered.
  • Provide driving cover for the delivery of medication service.
  • Provide cover for the other caretakers.
  • To ensure the delivery of services in accordance with customer service standards, policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as required by the line manager or practice manager.

Requirements for role:

Must hold a UK drivers' licence.
