We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working Administrator to work within the existing Orthotics team who provide efficient and effective services for the Orthotics Department.

The team consists of 5 long service members of the Orthotics Department.

We are a very friendly team who are able to support each other during daily tasks and work closely all based onsite within the Tebbit Centre.


Patient administration underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience.

Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources.

The position is for 37.5 hours per week, working across 5 days Monday-Friday.


The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient reception and booking service for patients and members of the department.

You should have previous clerical/administrational experience, a good standard of education and IT skills. Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills are essential.

Outpatients for the Orthotics Department Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre


All aspects of administration duties including:
Answering and dealing with telephone queries, both internal and external, patients, GP'S.

Booking, rescheduling and preparation of patients appointments and clinic notes.

Filing, ad hoc request from clinicians/ patients.

Data entry of production/procurement orders.

Ensuring a smooth running and welcoming reception ,adhering to local and Trust policies and procedure.

Responsible for outpatients administrative duties, dealing with telephone, in person enquires.

Booking and rescheduling outpatients appointments, preparing patient notes, awareness of the Trust 18 week pathway policy.

Providing a calming, efficient service to all internal and external contacts.

Working with in and part of a team, ability to communicate efficiently at all levels.

Flexibility with work duties and hours if required.
